Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Magnet Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for leading the design and development of MRI superconducting magnets, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead programmes with external commercial and academic institutions to leverage expertise and drive technological advancements.
  • Analyse complex engineering problems from technical and commercial perspectives to identify and deliver pragmatic solutions.
  • Develop knowledge of electromagnetic field theory and calculation, including analytical and FEA.
  • Demonstrate expertise in magnetic field measurement, materials, and their magnetic properties.
  • Collaborate with engineers and researchers to develop and implement new technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Physics or Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of electromagnetic field theory and calculation.
  • Experience with magnetic field measurement, materials, and their magnetic properties.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Salary and Benefits

Estimated salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Benefits include 26 days holiday + Bank Holidays (with the option to buy/sell more), annual bonus, BUPA, up to 10% employer pension contribution, onsite gym, subsidized restaurant, share scheme, and free onsite parking.
