About the Role
The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a skilled Estates Maintenance Worker to join our team. As an Estates Maintenance Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the Trust's buildings, plant, and equipment provide a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out repairs, minor planned installations, and maintenance work on a wide range of equipment, services, buildings, and plant.
- Assist maintenance craftsmen and technicians as necessary.
- Utilize Estates documentation to ensure effective and economic issue of spares/materials from Estates Stores.
- Ensure all works comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and all current legislation and/or guidance.
- Work within the Department's evolving ISO9001:2000 Quality System framework.
Person Specification
- Ability to use a range of tools and equipment.
- Experience of building services/engineering environment.
- Conversant with health and safety issues within a workshop environment.
- Understanding of ISO9001:2000 or equivalent quality system.
