Director of Estates Management

The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee the management of its physical infrastructure across various locations. As the Associate Director of Infrastructure for Estates, you will be responsible for developing and implementing estate management strategies, overseeing property occupancy, maintenance, and repairs, managing building and engineering capital projects, ensuring compliance and assurance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, managing budgets and resources, and leading and managing a team of estate management professionals.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement estate management strategies to ensure the effective use of resources and the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Oversee property occupancy, maintenance, and repairs to ensure that Trust properties are well-maintained, safe, and fit for purpose.
- Manage building and engineering capital projects to ensure that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Ensure compliance and assurance with health, safety, and environmental regulations to protect the health and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors.
- Manage budgets and resources to ensure that estate management activities are delivered efficiently and effectively.
- Lead and manage a team of estate management professionals to ensure that they have the skills, knowledge, and resources they need to deliver high-quality services.

Person SpecificationWe are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional who has:
- A successful track record at Director of Senior Manager level within a large estates function.
- A successful track record in change management.
- Experience of working collaboratively with clinicians, senior managers, and other stakeholders in planning and development.
- Experience of successfully developing and implementing strategic plans.
