About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioural Support Specialist to join our team at Look Ahead. As a Behavioural Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs, including those with Autism and Behaviour that Challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Observe and monitor customer behaviours, identifying triggers and alleviating factors.
  • Plan and implement effective interventions to modify and resolve challenging behaviours.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, families, and other professionals.
  • Collaborate with support organizations to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Present and feedback on behavioural analysis to other professionals.
  • Report any concerns or incidents, ensuring customer safety and well-being.
  • Participate in reviewing and designing behavioural interventions plans.
  • Implement behaviour support plans, measuring goals and objectives.
  • Communicate with parents and care managers on customer progress.
  • Analyse behavioural interventions to determine success.
  • Assist customers in identifying and developing better behaviour alternatives.
  • Support customers in developing independent living skills, including personal and physical care.
  • Participate in support planning and risk management.
  • Carry out security duties to ensure customer and premises safety.
  • Enable customers to access community facilities and services.
  • Report any observations related to customer welfare.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with customers with Autism/Behaviour that Challenges and Diabetics.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Driver's license.
