The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) regulates the nursing and midwifery professions in the UK, ensuring high education and professional standards. We maintain the register of professionals eligible to practise and investigate concerns about nurses, midwives, and nursing associates.


Job Overview


This role is responsible for ensuring the safe and effective quality assurance of programmes delivered by approved education institutions (AEIs), including approval and monitoring, in line with the NMC's Quality Assurance Framework.


Main Responsibilities


You will establish professional, supportive, and developmental relationships with AEIs across Scotland, providing Education QA support UK-wide as required. You will also establish relationships with our QA service provider and wider health and care organisations involved in the education and training of nurses, midwives, and nursing associates.


Requirements


To succeed in this role, you will have experience working within quality assurance, either in higher education or a healthcare environment. You must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the importance of education quality assurance and its impact on public protection and safety.


You should be able to engage with and build meaningful relationships with key stakeholders representing different groups and diverse backgrounds. Additionally, you must be able to advise, influence, and support others while maintaining your own professional boundaries.


Benefits

Location


This role is based in Scotland, with travel required to the wider UK. You will be part of a flexible team that works together to provide the best possible service to our registrants and achieve our outcomes quickly and efficiently.
