About Us
The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) is a regulator of nursing and midwifery professions. Our core role is to protect the public by promoting high education and professional standards for nurses, midwives, and nursing associates.
We achieve this by regulating our professions and influencing health and social care. We create resources and guidance that are useful throughout people's careers, helping them to deliver our standards in practice and address new challenges.
As a Part-time Legal Services Manager, you will play a key role in supporting NMC legal professionals to deliver a high-quality service. This includes overseeing a programme of work to support NMC legal professionals, developing policies related to legal professional issues, and advising Council and the Executive on legal risks or opportunities arising out of external legal developments.
This is a new role with the opportunity to be creative and innovative at a time of change for the NMC. You will have excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills and be able to proactively manage your work and the work of others to make an impact in this important area.
The salary for this role is approximately £40,000-£50,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, enhanced pension contributions, life assurance, hybrid/flexible working policies, and more.
Regulating and supporting our professions allows us to influence health and social care. We share intelligence from our regulatory activities and work with our partners to support workforce planning and sector-wide decision making. We use our voice to speak up for a healthy and inclusive working environment for our professions.
The ideal candidate will have excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, as well as the ability to proactively manage their work and the work of others. They will also have a passion for working with and supporting aspiring legal professionals to reach their goals.
