Regulatory Investigation Team Manager
The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) is the professional regulator for nurses, midwives and nursing associates in the UK. Our mission is to ensure that the public receives safe and effective care from these professionals. We achieve this by promoting high standards of education and professional practice, investigating concerns about nurses, midwives and nursing associates, and creating resources to support their development.
Salary: The annual salary for this role is around £55,000-£65,000, depending on experience, with an additional 30 days' annual leave and eight paid bank holidays.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Regulatory Investigation Team Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Investigations department, you will be responsible for managing a team of investigators and providing expert guidance on regulatory matters. Your primary focus will be on leading investigations into allegations of misconduct against nurses, midwives and nursing associates, ensuring that these are conducted fairly, efficiently and effectively. You will work closely with colleagues across the organization to identify and address any systemic issues that may have contributed to the misconduct.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in regulatory investigation, preferably within a healthcare setting. You should have excellent leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex information effectively to stakeholders. A degree in a relevant field, such as law or social science, would be advantageous. You must also be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of organizational skill and attention to detail.
Benefits:
In addition to the competitive salary, you will receive a range of benefits, including enhanced pension contributions, life assurance, hybrid/flexible working policies, and 24-hour employee assistance programme. You will also have access to our cycle to work scheme and subsidized restaurant in our Portland Place office.
Others:
This role requires the ability to travel to other NMC locations as needed. We are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and welcome applications from candidates from all backgrounds.
