Job Title: Chief Cardiac Physiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced echocardiographer to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. The successful candidate will work at the Barts Heart Centre, St Bartholomew's Hospital, and contribute to the weekend working rota on a rotational basis.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career as a competent Echocardiographer with opportunities to progress to training in advanced specialist areas, such as Cardio-oncology, cardiomyopathy, and/or adult congenital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality echocardiography services to patients
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve departmental goals
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new procedures and protocols
  • Supervise and train staff in the performance of their individual roles
  • Support senior staff members in the delivery of cardiac physiology services
Requirements
  • BSc Clinical Physiology (or international equivalent)
  • Good knowledge of transthoracic echocardiography
  • Immediate Life Support
  • Well-versed in basic diagnostic skills expected of a band 6 cardiac physiologist or higher
  • Experience on Hands on Transthoracic echo
  • Experience being responsible for small sections of the cardiology service
  • Ability to use Microsoft (Word & Excel) applications
