We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our team at March, a leading provider of critical engineering services. As an HR Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of our HR function, providing comprehensive HR support across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice and support on employee relations issues, including absence management, disciplinary procedures, grievances, TUPE, and redundancies, ensuring compliance with UK employment law and best practices.
- Support our recruitment team by overseeing and coordinating the onboarding process, ensuring all new starter paperwork, contracts, and offer letters are aligned, providing a seamless experience for our new hires.
- Assist in the development and implementation of performance management processes, including career development plans and feedback processes.
- Contribute to the creation and updating of HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are in line with current legislation and company objectives.
- Work with managers, employees, and our L&D team to identify training needs and support the delivery of development programs to enhance employee skills and career progression.
- Assist with the management of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with market trends.
- Participate in and sometimes lead HR-related projects, such as employee engagement surveys, diversity and inclusion initiatives, salary and benefit benchmarking, etc.
- Ensure that all HR activities comply with legal requirements and internal policies, providing regular reports on HR metrics to management and HR Manager/Head of HR.
- Generalist HR experience, ideally within an engineering, construction, or similar fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices and willingness to learn.
- Proficiency in the use of HR software (we currently use IFS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
