Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Radiographer to lead our General X-ray department as a Superintendent Radiographer. This role offers a unique opportunity to utilize both management and clinical skills in a dynamic and diverse team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the operational issues of the General/Fluoroscopy/Dental x-ray service, including cone beam CT and DEXA. They will promote a patient-focused service, ensuring high standards of patient care and imaging quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations of the General/Fluoroscopy/Dental x-ray service, including supervision of staff and allocation of duties.
  • Ensure timely completion of scheduled appointments and prioritize emergency requests.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce waiting lists and improve patient flow.
  • Lead a team of radiographers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements

We are looking for a skilled Radiographer with substantial experience in Diagnostic Imaging and Paediatric Radiography. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

The successful candidate will also have:

  • BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.
  • HCPC Radiographer Registration.
  • Demonstrable experience in leadership and teaching junior diagnostic imaging professionals.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary, based on market rates, commensurate with experience: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum.

In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, life assurance, and annual leave.
