Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pediatric physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team at King's College Hospital. The successful postholder will provide clinical leadership for the acute respiratory, post-surgical, liver, trauma, orthopaedics, and Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV) patients in the Paediatric Acute Physiotherapy service.

This is a key leadership role in a dynamic and specialist multi-disciplinary paediatric team working out of the Children's Hospital at King's in London. As a clinical expert, you will be responsible for shaping the services appropriately to respond to growing and changing clinical landscapes and the development of more advanced care options.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the management of pediatric acute respiratory conditions, including babies and children on PICU;
  • Develop and deliver pediatric physiotherapy as per NICE guidance and other relevant standards;
  • Work with other pediatric therapy teams to ensure a high-quality, effective, and efficient service to patients presenting with all types of conditions, both acute and chronic;
  • Operate the respiratory pediatric physiotherapy weekend and overnight emergency on-call services and manage the safety and governance of these services.
Key Requirements
  • Degree or recognized qualification in Physiotherapy;
  • HCPC Registered;
  • Postgraduate training and experience in pediatric specialities, such as neonatal and infant care;
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP);
  • MSc in a clinically relevant area;
  • Significant postgraduate pediatric experience including pediatric acute respiratory, PICU, post-surgical, neurology, NIV, Major Trauma, musculoskeletal, and orthopaedics.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £61,927 - £68,676 pro rata inc HCA's, depending on experience. You must have appropriate UK professional registration and meet the required qualifications and skills for this role. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
