Pediatric Physiotherapist Specialist

£70,000 - £90,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Role:

Great Ormond Street Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced pediatric physiotherapist to join our team. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in pediatric physiotherapy, including complex disability neurology, MSK, and respiratory.

The role involves providing high-quality care to children with cancer and stem cell transplant patients, working closely with the multidisciplinary team. You will be responsible for supervising physiotherapists, students, and assistants, as well as participating in on-call and weekend duties.

A key aspect of the role is to contribute to the development of clinical pathways and service delivery within the pediatric physiotherapy department. This includes working with the Band 8a Physiotherapist to shape the service and respond to changing clinical landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To be a physiotherapy clinical expert in the management of pediatric Oncology, Immunology, and SCT patients for inpatient and outpatient services.
  • To provide supervision and clinical support to rotational band 6 physiotherapy staff, physiotherapy assistants, and students.
  • To work with the Band 8a Physiotherapist in shaping clinical pathways and service development within the Oncology, Haematology, Immunology, and BMT pediatric physiotherapy services at GOSH.
Person Specification:
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Physiotherapy
  • Health Professions Registration
  • Evidence of CPD maintained in portfolio, including attendance at relevant courses
  • Knowledge and understanding of diverse backgrounds and perspectives
