About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pediatric Nurse Specialist to join our team at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

As a Pediatric Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating programmes of evidence-based nursing care for children and young people.

You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive high-quality care and support.

The post holder will be responsible for the assessment of care needs and for the development and implementation of programmes of care without supervision.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Assessment and Planning: Assess the care needs of children and young people, plan and implement programmes of care, and evaluate the effectiveness of care delivery.
  2. Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive high-quality care and support.
  3. Leadership and Accountability: Take responsibility for the leadership and management of the pediatric nursing team, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and resources to provide high-quality care.
  4. Education and Development: Provide education and development opportunities for the pediatric nursing team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
