About the Role

Marie Curie is a leading end-of-life charity, providing expert care, guidance, and support to those in need. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fundraising and Operations Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive fundraising operational performance and support, changing and transforming the way we work with a clear focus on supporting fundraising teams to deliver maximum value to our supporters.
  • Ensure performance, development, and growth activities across fundraising are well planned, consistently implemented, and supported by efficient, effective, and compliant processes, systems, and practice.
  • Proactively engage in understanding the work of Fundraising, demonstrating the ability to participate in the development of commercially appropriate business practices and ways of working, and to identify opportunities for improved ways of working and the effective management of risk.
  • Oversee and report on operational performance, creating clarity around strong operational effectiveness, providing performance insights of the fundraising, escalating risks and concerns and performance review, as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in a senior operational or project management role.
  • Substantial experience managing a team including setting targets, planning workload, and managing resources.
  • Experience managing and leading business operational teams.
  • Leading a portfolio of improvement projects delivering benefits in terms of cost saving, financial growth, and quality of product.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build rapport with people at all levels.
