Job Overview

This is a challenging and rewarding role that involves leading and managing a team of qualified and unqualified staff to assess and treat patients post fractures and operations. As a Band 7 Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating the physiotherapy service provided to patients within the Trauma Orthopaedic specialty.

Main Duties
  • To take a lead role in planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating the physiotherapy service provided to patients within the Trauma Orthopaedic specialty.
  • To promote the role of physiotherapy within the inter-professional team and ensure that good communication exists with medical, nursing, and other professional staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced physiotherapist who holds a BSc or Diploma in Physiotherapy, HCPC registration, and Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. The ideal candidate will also have evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio, including attendance at recent postgraduate courses relevant to the clinical field.

Previous Experience

The successful candidate will have significant experience at Band 6 level and able to further develop skills and demonstrate advanced level of skills in musculoskeletal field. Proven experience of leading effective teamwork as part of a physiotherapy team and/or multi-disciplinary team within the NHS is essential.

Employment Details

This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week. We offer a competitive salary, estimated to be around £62,000 - £82,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will work across two sites: Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford, and Queen Mary's, Sidcup.
