Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Vibright is a dynamic and ambitious wealth management business partnering with thousands of clients across the UK. We are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to join our team in Somerset, working under the Head of Wealth Management on SMF16 and SMF17 roles and responsibilities.
Job DescriptionThis newly created role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing compliance policies and procedures to mitigate regulatory risks and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements. You will work closely with senior management and other departments to address compliance issues and implement solutions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Review and improve group policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to FCA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Regulatory Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate submission of mandatory reports to avoid penalties or sanctions.
- Oversight and Monitoring / Operational Integrity: Contribute to effective systems, controls, and interpretation of MI to ensure a well-run compliance program.
We are looking for a talented Compliance professional with experience in a similar role within the IFA/Wealth Management sector. Key skills include:
- Strong working knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance requirements.
- Past history of involvement in a firm's launch of the Consumer Duty.
- Confidence in navigating stakeholders at all levels.
- Practical awareness and knowledge of retail financial products and current regulatory expectations.
We offer a competitive salary package including:
- £50,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
- 4% bonus based on performance & company profitability.
- Holiday entitlement: 25 days plus bank holidays (ability to purchase 5 more per year, after two years' service).
