About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Trauma Therapist to join our dynamic and evolving Community CAMHS South Team. As a Trauma Specialist, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide specialist trauma assessments and interventions to children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively as part of the Community CAMHS South Team to provide specialist trauma assessments and interventions to children and young people.
  • Act as a lead professional/care-coordinator for service users, co-facilitate group work, and liaise with systems connected to the young person and the multidisciplinary team within the Community CAMHS.
  • Develop and maintain a caseload of children and young people with complex trauma and PTSD, providing evidence-based psychological therapies and interventions.
  • Work closely with other agencies to ensure a quality service is provided to children and young people.
Person Specification
  • Appropriate professional registered qualification (RMN, Social Worker, CBT Therapist, or equivalent) and membership of a registered statutory body (NMC, BABCP).
  • Post-qualification training in trauma (trauma-focused CBT, EMDR, etc.) is desirable.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with emotional and mental health difficulties and disorders.
  • Ability to manage own caseload and time, and work under pressure.
