About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Play Specialist to join our team at Rainbows Children's Hospice. As a key member of our outreach services, you will be responsible for developing and delivering play activities that cater to the diverse needs of children and young people.

As a Play Specialist, you will work closely with our team to ensure that all children have access to play and leisure activities, creating meaningful and enjoyable memories in a safe and caring environment. Your expertise will be invaluable in planning and delivering activities that meet the unique needs of each child.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver play activities that cater to the diverse needs of children and young people
  • Work closely with the Play Team to ensure all children have access to play and leisure activities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Play Team, promoting good teamwork and collaboration
  • Support the Family Support Lead on employee relations activities
  • Travel to rural locations in the East Midlands as required
Requirements
  • Fully qualified Health Play Specialist registered with HPSET
  • Experience working with babies and children of all ages
  • Experience working with children with complex needs
  • Ability to travel and work in a variety of settings
