Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Play Specialist to join our Outreach Services team at Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing therapeutic and generic play and leisure activities for babies, children, and young people within our hospice and community settings.

Main Duties

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering play and leisure activities tailored to the needs of children and young people
  • Providing guidance and leadership to the Play Team, promoting teamwork and collaboration
  • Supporting the Family Support Lead on employee relations and team development
  • Overseeing all activities, ensuring a safe and caring environment for children and young people

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Fully qualified Health Play Specialist with registration with HPSET
  • Experience working with babies and children of all ages, including those with complex needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good team work and leadership skills
