We are seeking an enthusiastic Outreach Play Specialist to join our dynamic team at Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People. As an Outreach Play Specialist, you will provide therapeutic and generic play and leisure activities for babies, children, and young people receiving end-of-life care in their homes and community settings.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual programmes of activity for babies, children, and young people.
- Support family members in creating memory-making activities using specialist skills.
- Advise, support, and signpost family members regarding specialist play.
- Carry out complex and sensitive conversations with families regarding end-of-life care, providing recommendations on suitable activities and advising on appropriate timings.
- Fully Qualified Health Play Specialist & registered with HPSET.
- Experience working with babies, children, and/or young people of all ages.
- Experience with babies, children, and/or young people with complex and/or palliative needs.
- Ability to travel around the East Midlands and get to rural locations.
