About the Role:

Atkore is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Administrator to join our logistics team in West Bromwich. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing goods in and out inventory, maintaining and updating stock inventory, and performing various administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process goods in and out inventory with high accuracy
  • Maintain and update stock inventory in a timely manner
  • Liaise with transport companies to book in deliveries
  • Communicate daily with customers to ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Enter data accurately and maintain attention to detail
  • Coordinate dispatch and receipt operations
  • Respond to customer inquiries and follow up on requests and orders
  • Update customers on orders and create spreadsheets to track progress
  • Measure delivery service to customers and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure seamless communication

Requirements:

  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Minimum years' experience in a similar role
  • Excellent telephone manner and ability to build strong customer relationships
  • Ability to create a good business awareness of the territory
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive and innovative with flexibility to adapt to changing situations
  • Great motivation for self and others
  • Ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Ability to demonstrate influencing skills
