Supply Chain Optimization Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Optimization Manager to join our team at Atkore. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our supply chain operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in delivering our products to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and update supply chain practices in line with company policies, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Negotiate terms and prices with suppliers and freight companies, monitoring and assessing their performance and maintaining cost-effective practices.
  • Analyze supply chain data and solve any issues or put alternative plans in place.
  • Identify and minimize risk by predicting demand for products and ensuring no disruption to supply.
  • Manage purchasing, production planning, inventory, picking, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Monitor and motivate staff.
  • Ensure targets are met.
  • Build a close relationship with suppliers.
  • Ensure awareness of exactly what is happening throughout the supply chain.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years' experience within supply chain management.
  • Team management experience.
  • Strong planning skills and project management expertise.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strategic planning and thinking, systems analysis and evaluation.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make decisions quickly.
  • Relationship management skills and active listening.
  • Complex problem-solving skills.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of various IT systems.
  • In-depth understanding of risk management within the supply chain of the company.
  • Attention to detail.
