About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Floating Support Worker to join our Mental Health service in Richmond. As a key member of our team, you will provide flexible and individually tailored support to vulnerable individuals, helping them maintain their tenancy, stay well, and participate in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Team Leader/Manager
  • Conduct initial and continuous assessments of needs and potential risks, agreeing levels of support and actions
  • Create support/action plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available
  • Build supportive, trusting relationships with customers
  • Work proactively with other team members to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities
  • Support customers to undertake domestic tasks, providing practical assistance where necessary
  • Develop links with local statutory and voluntary organizations to provide engagement opportunities for customers
  • Empower customers to access the services and benefits they are entitled to
  • Undertake administrative work and maintain accurate and comprehensive records
  • Encourage and enable tenants to pay their rent and manage rent accounts effectively
  • Adhere to Look Ahead's Policies and Procedures
  • Engage in learning and development activities to increase knowledge and skills
  • Provide day-to-day instruction/supervision of Assistant Support Workers/domestic staff/Personal Support Assistants
  • Undertake any other duties consistent with the grade and nature of the post as may be reasonably assigned

Requirements
  • Up to NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent, or experience in the social care/charity sector
