We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team at United Response in Richmond. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with a range of disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Encourage and support individuals to manage their health needs and liaise with healthcare professionals.
- Develop and implement life skills training to enhance the independence of the individuals we support.
- Assist with personal finances, personal hygiene, and medication management.
- Provide advice and problem-solving support as required.
- Utilize a digital app, Nourish, to manage care and support plans.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic IT skills and ability to learn new systems.
- Flexibility to work weekend and evening shifts, and potentially accompany individuals on holiday.
- 20 days annual leave (increasing after 3 and 5 years' service).
