Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled staff nurse to join our emergency department at Royal Preston Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, where no two days are ever the same. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in emergency nursing, working alongside experienced clinicians and supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care.

About the Role

As a staff nurse in our emergency department, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing care for patients presenting with a range of acute conditions. You will work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care, including managing medication, performing procedures, and supporting patients and their families through challenging times.

Our emergency department is a busy and dynamic environment, with over 124,000 patients attending each year. We have two sites, Preston and Chorley, with a shared vision of providing excellent care and support to our patients. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work across both sites, developing your skills and experience in emergency nursing.
