Clinical Lead in Community Old Age Psychiatry

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Lead in Community Old Age Psychiatry, you will be responsible for delivering excellence in clinical care, working effectively with multi-disciplinary teams, and promoting the safety and wellbeing of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective clinical strategies to improve patient outcomes
- Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care
- Participate in service development and improvement initiatives
As a Consultant Psychiatrist in Community Mental Health, you will have the opportunity to work with patients and families in a community setting, providing comprehensive mental health care and support. You will be responsible for assessing patients, developing treatment plans, and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals.
Requirements- MBBS (or equivalent) and full registration with the GMC
- Experience in community mental health or old age psychiatry
- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge in specialty
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with patients and families
