Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced administrator to join our team at Greater Manchester Mental Health. As a Team Administrator, you will provide comprehensive and confidential administrative support to the Therapies Hub within our Specialist Community Mental Health Team.

Your key responsibilities will include providing administrative functions to managers, minute-taking of meetings, typing of letters, filing, diary management, and other general administrative duties.

You will be part of a team of administrators providing admin cover to our service users, clinicians, and other health professionals. If you have a flexible approach and the ability to adapt to changing priorities, this will be an excellent opportunity to develop your skills.

Main Duties of the Job

The Team Administrator will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Therapies Hub, including:

  • Providing administrative functions to managers
  • Minute-taking of meetings
  • Typing of letters
  • Filing
  • Diary management
  • Other general administrative duties

We provide inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bolton, the city of Manchester, Salford, Trafford, and the borough of Wigan, and a wide range of specialist mental health and substance misuse services across Greater Manchester, the north west of England, and beyond.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Typing/WP RSAII or equivalent or demonstrable experience
  • Experience of working in an office environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as a member of a team
  • Ability to operate and maintain filing systems both manual and electronic
  • Ability to develop effective interpersonal relationships with colleagues in the healthcare setting
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of settings
  • Able to deal with sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy
  • Able to present factual information and refer questions to others where appropriate

Other Requirements

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a positive attitude to service users, carers, and other staff. They will also have good time management and a commitment to service development and effective team work.
