Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic administrator to join our team at Greater Manchester Mental Health. As a Team Administrator, you will provide comprehensive and confidential administrative support to the Therapies Hub within our Specialist Community Mental Health Team.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, IT competency in Word, Excel, and Outlook, and a broad range of administrative experience. You will be part of a team of administrators providing admin cover to our service users, clinicians, and other health professionals.

Main Duties of the Job

The Team Administrator will be responsible for providing administrative support to the managers, minute-taking of meetings, typing of letters, filing, diary management, and other general administrative duties.

Greater Manchester Mental Health employs over 6,400 members of staff, who deliver services from more than 160 locations. We provide inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bolton, the city of Manchester, Salford, Trafford, and the borough of Wigan, and a wide range of specialist mental health and substance misuse services across Greater Manchester, the north west of England, and beyond.

Person Specification

Education / Qualifications

  • Typing/WP RSAII or equivalent or demonstrable experience.

Experience

  • Experience of working in an office environment.

Skills & Abilities

  • Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work as a member of a team. Ability to operate and maintain filing systems both manual and electronic. Ability to develop effective interpersonal relationships with colleagues in the healthcare setting. Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of settings. Able to deal with sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy. Able to present factual information and refer questions to others where appropriate.
