Geriatric Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Consultant Geriatrician to join our team at Lymington Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that is shaping the future of healthcare in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Main Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical opinion across a wide range of problems within General Internal Medicine and Geriatric medicine
- Take full and independent responsibility for the care of patients
- Get involved in admission prevention, virtual wards, proactive community services for older people living with frailty, advance care planning and end of life care
This is an ideal post for a geriatrician who enjoys being hands-on and working closely with colleagues in primary, secondary and intermediate care. The environment within the hospital is ideal for older patients who need high-quality medical and nursing care but not intensive medical intervention or referral to more specialist services.

- MBBS or equivalent
- MRCP or equivalent
- Full registration with the General Medical Council GMC with licence to practice
- Entry on Specialist Register in Geriatric medicine
- Holder of Certificate of Completion of Training CCT in Geriatric medicine or within 12 months of award of CCT
