About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geriatrician to join our team at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Geriatrician, you will play a key role in providing high-quality medical care to older patients, working closely with colleagues in primary, secondary, and intermediate care.
Main Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Providing expert clinical opinion across a wide range of problems within General Internal Medicine and Geriatric medicine
- Taking full and independent responsibility for the care of patients
- Getting involved in admission prevention, virtual wards, proactive community services for older people living with frailty, advance care planning, and end-of-life care

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:
- MBBS or equivalent
- MRCP or equivalent
- Full registration with the General Medical Council GMC with licence to practice
- Entry on Specialist Register in Geriatric medicine
- Holder of Certificate of Completion of Training CCT in Geriatric medicine or within 12 months of award of CCT by date of interview
