Supported Housing Night Worker Opportunity

We are seeking two Supported Housing Night Workers to join their innovative team in Thetford, Norfolk. Our organisation has been transforming lives for nearly 50 years, offering support to those in need and helping individuals recover from homelessness and social exclusion.

About the Role:

As a Supported Housing Night Worker, you will be a crucial first point of contact for residents during night hours, working independently to ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. You will provide support and guidance to vulnerable individuals dealing with financial hardship, homelessness, mental health, and substance misuse.

  • Develop and maintain a rapport with residents, providing support and guidance.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facility overnight.
  • Adhere to safeguarding policies and promote a safe living environment.
  • Record and manage information accurately using database systems.
  • Manage premises and ensure swift accommodation turnaround for new arrivals.
About You:

To succeed as a Supported Housing Night Worker, you will require previous experience in supported accommodation, ideally with a qualification in housing, social work, or community work. Experience in a security or caretaker role would also be advantageous. Our organisation values applicants who have lived experience with issues related to service users.

  • Competitive salary: £24,570 per annum (£13.50 per hour), with potential review after probation.
  • 28 days holiday including Bank Holidays, with extra leave for length of service, up to 5 additional days.
  • 10-hour shifts, averaging 35 hours per week on a 4 on / 4 off rolling basis.
