Main Responsibilities:

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing new business relationships and profitable sales with domestic prospects in our strategic sales segments.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing sales with medium & large UK OEM prospects & accounts, in our strategic sales segments.
  • Leading negotiations and customer decisions to drive business growth.
  • Creating and executing on a strategic sales plan that meets or exceeds turnover and gross profit targets.
  • Developing strategic account plans for new customers that align with sales strategy and outline account objectives, strategies, resources, and tactics to be deployed.
  • Ensuring effective positioning of our value proposition to prospects/customer corporate HQ and site locations by leveraging customer service partners together with other departments.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need to have an entrepreneurial mindset, be able to see opportunities for new business or business expansion, and be able to back this up with facts and figures. You will also need to effectively manage and develop your pipeline, grow your network of prospects, and understand the value of personal branding and effectively use it. Additionally, you will need to analyze prospect/customer needs and processes and translate these into possible sales opportunities.
