Job Title: Housing Liaison Officer

Octavia is seeking a skilled Housing Liaison Officer to lead on the delivery of excellent customer relations within the Housing team. This role requires extensive engagement with residents to support them through major works programmes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for residents having work carried out to their home, estate, or communal area.
  • Regularly visit sites, open properties, and ensure residents are kept informed of work schedules and progress.
  • Organise and deliver programmes of resident liaison/meetings to consult residents on investment issues.
  • Prepare and deliver pre-works information for residents, supporting other teams as needed.
  • Develop a deep understanding of residents, communities, and act as an internal and external advocate for resident priorities.
  • Lead on resident consultations and promote resident involvement and engagement.
  • Work with the Housing and other teams on decanting residents to suitable accommodation as required.
  • Identify and assist vulnerable tenants, referring them to Octavia's care and Support team or external agencies as necessary.
  • Manage expressions of dissatisfaction and complaints effectively, seeking to resolve issues at the first point of contact.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a customer service environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in housing, specifically resident liaison.
  • Successful working with other agencies.
