Commercial Insurance Account Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Insurance Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our commercial insurance team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Achieving individual and team targets as set and agreed
- Identifying new prospects, decision makers, and renewal dates using our prospect database and own research
- Handling and potential reorganisation of new leads and client meetings
- Networking and sponsorship events
- Maintaining a comprehensive diary system and activity log to manage day-to-day income generation
- Providing professional support and advice to customers through review, ensuring high levels of service and meeting clients' needs
- Ongoing focus on relationship management with existing key clients through client review meetings and other forms of communication
- SMART and effective management of time and resource to maximise opportunities to visit all relevant clients in a cost-effective way, including mid-term client meetings
- Working in partnership with all colleagues in the commercial development team as required to maximise opportunities

- Where appropriate, providing a comprehensive search of the market to ensure a competitive quotation is offered in accordance with the customers' needs
- Underwriting scheme policies in line with underwriting authority levels and referral guidelines
- Working with Commercial Insurance Advisor to administer new business policies within company guidelines
- Ensuring focused collection of client money within company guidelines
- Maintaining and developing own technical competence in line with client review focus
- Assisting in the development of payment plans through cross-selling and assisting with new plan customers and the growth of existing plans
- To be professional when representing Lloyd & Whyte Ltd at external events, e.g. relevant conferences/events and customer visits
- Identifying and researching potential new markets, products, prospects, and introducers
- Supporting colleagues from all areas of the business as required
- Solid knowledge of the UK Insurance Market, notably within commercial lines
- Proven experience within a new business-focused insurance role
- Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate in Insurance
