Financial Controller Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team at Accountable Recruitment Careers. This is a unique opportunity for a fully qualified accountant to lead a small team, produce management accounts, and drive improvements to reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and present monthly management accounts, along with detailed financial performance reports and commentaries for the senior leadership team.
  • Lead the preparation of yearly budgets and cash flow forecasts to support strategic planning.
  • Manage accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and stock adjustments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the integrity of financial records.
  • Prepare year-end accounts in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage VAT returns and ensure timely submission.
  • Oversee weekly banking operations to ensure financial stability.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant with prior big company experience.
  • Strong systems skills to drive best practice and support the management team.
  • Ability to lead a small team and drive improvements to reporting.

Benefits:

  • FTE of £60,000 plus pension, 25 days holiday (pro-rated) and a range of extra benefits.
