Our client, a leading company in the industry, is seeking an experienced B2B Salesperson to join their team and contribute to generating sales for their business. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts, processing sales orders, and building and maintaining strong customer relationships.

You will be an excellent communicator with strong people skills, comfortable presenting products or services over the phone and in person. This role will involve a mix of office-based work and occasional on-the-road days to visit customers and chase up leads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Following up warm leads and new customer registrations
  • Approaching businesses in the sector to introduce the company and try to secure their custom
  • Answering questions about products or the company
  • Asking questions to understand customer requirements
  • Contacting warm leads to enquire about potential orders and maintaining relationships
  • Going the extra mile to meet customer requirements and sales targets
  • Keeping records of calls and sales and noting useful information
  • Attending trade shows to network, meet customers, and gather new business leads

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a B2B sales role, including visiting customers on the road
  • Preferably worked in the furniture wholesaler industry previously
  • Computer literate and able to learn/work with relevant computer programs (e.g. CRM software and telephone systems)
  • Experience in Sage 200 software is advantageous
  • Ability to learn about products and services and describe/explain them to customers
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in order to develop customer relationships
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints
