Business Development Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced B2B Sales Professional to join our client's team in Aldridge. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for generating sales and building strong relationships with customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow up on warm leads and new customer registrations
- Approach businesses in the sector to introduce the company and secure their custom
- Answer questions about products or the company
- Ask questions to understand customer requirements
- Contact warm leads to enquire about potential orders and maintain relationships
- Go the extra mile to meet customer requirements and sales targets
- Keep records of calls and sales, and note useful information
- Attend trade shows to network, meet customers, and gather new business leads
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a B2B sales role, including visiting customers on the road
- Preferably worked in the Furniture wholesaler industry previously
- Computer literate and able to learn/work with relevant computer programs (e.g. CRM software and telephone systems)
- Experience in Sage 200 software is advantageous
- Ability to learn about products and services and describe/explain them to customers
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in order to develop customer relationships
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints
