Autism Support Specialist

Job Title: Autism Support Specialist
Location: Cumnock, Ayrshire
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Specialist to join our team at the Ayrshire Independent Living Network. As an Autism Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting a 9-year-old boy with Nonverbal Autism, OCD, and Sensory Processing Disorder.
The successful candidate will provide support and encouragement for him to participate in activities, as well as assistance with personal care. His interests include swimming and trampolining, and we require someone who can support him during these activities, including getting him changed and ensuring his safety in the community.
It is preferred that you have an understanding of Nonverbal Autism, although experience in SEN is essential. You must be a driver with a full clean driver's license, use of your own car, and business insurance. Mileage allowance will be paid if using your car for work duties.
We offer a competitive salary of £12.00 per hour, making this an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to make a difference in the life of a young person.
