IT Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Support Specialist to join our team at GB - Global. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing first-line support to our users, resolving technical issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our desktop infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support to users via phone, email, and ticketing system
- Liaise with second and third-line support teams to resolve complex issues
- Support users in person and via remote tools
- Assist in ensuring IT infrastructure is optimally installed, maintained, and operated
- Contribute to the development of IT service offerings and process improvements
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to documentation of infrastructure systems
We are looking for an individual with previous experience in a commercial IT environment, with a strong understanding of Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory, and software management solutions. You should have excellent communication skills, be able to work under pressure, and have a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key skills and qualifications include:
- Previous experience in a 1st line helpdesk role
- Deployment, configuration, and support of Microsoft operating systems
- Understanding of Active Directory domains, Microsoft Exchange, and software management solutions
- Administration of Active Directory user accounts and computers
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including network hardware configuration
- Basic scripting skills in languages such as BAT, VBScript, and PowerShell
- Basic MS SQL queries
