Job Title: Safeguarding Lead

Location: Rotherham office with travel across services in the UK

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to oversee our safeguarding practices across all services.

About the Role:

  • Develop a safeguarding culture that influences strategic and operational focus.
  • Take the lead in developing, implementing, and reviewing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation and best practice standards.
  • Oversee incident reporting, working collaboratively with Operational Services to ensure a robust response to incidents.
  • Support Managers and staff on safeguarding matters.
  • Maintain accurate records of safeguarding incidents and actions taken.
  • Liaise with external agencies to ensure seamless incident management.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential concerns and mitigate risks.

Key Requirements:

  • Be a qualified Social Worker and registered with Social Work England.
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Experience in safeguarding roles, investigating issues, and responding to incidents.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to engage with staff and external bodies.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.

Salary: £52,000 per annum
