We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Youth Services Manager to lead our team at our Sheffield-based children’s home.

Job Overview:
  • To manage and lead a team of staff members, providing direction and guidance on delivering high-quality care.
  • To develop and implement effective plans to meet the individual needs of children and young people in our care.
  • To maintain strong relationships with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care and support services.
  • To stay up-to-date with best practices and policies in social care, applying this knowledge to inform decision-making and improve outcomes.

Salary Range: Up to £29,720 - £37,852.80 p.a (£13.25 - £17.16 P/hr)

Responsibilities:
  1. Recruit, train, and develop a team of staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional care.
  2. Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each child or young person.
  3. Maintain open communication channels with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure they are informed about progress and any concerns.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care and support services, making recommendations for improvement where necessary.
Requirements:
  • A relevant qualification in Social Care or a related field.
  • Significant experience of working with children and young people.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with families, carers, and other professionals.
