Youth Programme Manager

We are seeking a youth programme manager to deliver a program of free sports and activities at various community sites in Sheffield through school holidays.

The successful candidate will provide opportunities for children and young people to access fun with sport including football, cricket, hockey, tennis, and more.

Salary: £25,000 per annum (pro rata) - 16- and 17-year-olds rate at 80% and 90% respectively.

Location: Various community sites in Sheffield

Job Role:

  • Plan, deliver, and monitor activities for children and young people in a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Lead initiatives and transport staff and equipment safely using the community team van.

This role requires an Enhanced DBS disclosure and is covered by Sheffield City Trust's safer recruitment practices for safeguarding and protecting children, young people, and vulnerable adults.

Essential Experience or Qualifications:

  • Experience of working with children, families, and communities.
  • Planning, delivering, and reviewing activities and projects.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Analyzing data and reports to produce improvement plans.
  • Cultural sensitivities when working in and with communities.
  • Working various hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Delivering a quality program of activities.

Desirable Experience or Qualifications:

  • Delivering activities, sports, and games.
  • Producing accurate reports to management.
  • Knowledge of the various resilient communities of Sheffield.
  • Qualification in sports, games, or activities.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime.
