Youth Services Team Leader

Job Summary
">We are seeking a Residential Care Home Manager to join our team in Barnsley, providing care for young people within a one-bedroom home.
">The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring high-quality care, promoting the rights of young people as individuals, and providing quality care in accordance with our policies and procedures.
">This role involves leading a team of care workers, adhering to relevant legislation and guidance to ensure good outcomes are achieved for young people within the home, meeting their physical, psychological, emotional & social development.
">Key Responsibilities
">- Develop and deliver high-quality care in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, and our organisation's policy and procedure guidelines
- Ensure adherence to all legislative guidelines in respect of Health & Safety and provide adequate training to staff
- Keep accurate records relating to both young people and employees and implement monitoring and evaluation systems
- Provide management information, including collecting and returning statistical information as required
- Develop and promote new techniques and approaches to childcare provision based in the home
- Attend, prepare for, and chair various meetings internally and externally
- Take on-call responsibilities and sleep-in duties as required
- Write concise and evaluative reports and oversee written communication to sustain required standards
- Be responsible for decision-making and oversight of admissions and discharges to the home
- Innovate change and effectively lead a vision in line with our organisational ethos
Required Skills and Qualifications
">- Enthusiasm in providing the highest quality care and education
- Experience of managing a team
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures
- Familiarity with the needs of vulnerable individuals
- Demonstrate high standards of safe working practice
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, young people and outside agencies
- Ability to maintain emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviour
- Demonstrate respect for appropriate boundaries and authority
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to equal opportunities
- Holds a current UK driving licence / has the use of appropriate transport
- Flexible and reliable
- Participate in management forum and contribute to development of work practice, policies and procedures etc.

- Full Occupancy Bonus- £50 a month
- On Call payments- £25 weekday, £35 weekends
- Petrol Allowance - Paid when using own car - proof of business insurance must be provided
- Pension - In line with the organisational Pension Scheme and government guidance
Estimated Salary: £40,751.18 per annum, with a potential to earn up to £43,351.18 through Ofsted and occupancy bonuses.
