Procurement Specialist

Job Summary
Anord Mardix, a leading manufacturer of switchgear and associated products, is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our global team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of raw materials and purchased parts to support our production needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate prices and delivery terms.
- Place orders for raw materials and purchased parts in accordance with production requirements.
- Receive and process confirmations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor and adjust purchase orders as needed to reflect changes in production plans.
- Track shipments and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Conduct regular stock checks to prevent overstocking and minimize the risk of obsolescence.
- Collaborate with freight forwarders, warehouses, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transportation and logistics.
- Handle claims, settle debit and credit issues, and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure the inventory of critical materials is up-to-date and accurate.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel to resolve any discrepancies.
- Manage purchasing data privacy and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Review requisitions and MRP output to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
- Confer with vendors to obtain product information and negotiate prices.
- Order, reschedule, and cancel material as needed to meet production requirements.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including items purchased, costs, delivery, and inventories.
- Manage supplier performance, including price, delivery, and quality expectations.
- Approve invoices for payment and investigate inventory levels.
- Monitor the movement of materials through the production cycle.
- Conduct quarterly supplier reviews to ensure ongoing performance and improvement.
Requirements:
- Typically requires a minimum of 1 to 2 years of procurement experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and present information effectively.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including discounts, interest, and percentages.
