Job Summary

We are seeking an Adult Nurse to join our MSc Midwifery programme, which will enable them to become a qualified midwife. The programme is designed to support nurses in transitioning to a midwifery career, with a focus on theoretical and practical skills development.

Main Responsibilities

As a midwife, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to women and their families throughout the preconception, antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal stages. This will involve communicating effectively with women and their families, diagnosing pregnancy, assessing and monitoring women's health, and working towards achieving the NMC Standards of proficiency for midwives.

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in nursing, with a first degree and active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. You will also need to have evidence of qualification to undertake the supervision, teaching, and assessing of students.
