Job Summary

We are seeking an Adult Nurse to join our team as a Midwife through our MSc Midwifery (shortened) programme. This is a unique opportunity to change your career and become a qualified Midwife.

About the Role

As a Midwife, you will be responsible for providing seamless care and interventions in partnership with women and other care providers during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period. Your duties will include:

  • Providing evidence-based advice and support on baby and self-care
  • Caring for and monitoring women during pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal period
  • Communicating effectively with women and birthing people and their families
  • Diagnosing pregnancy, assessing, and monitoring women holistically
  • Working towards achieving the NMC Standards of proficiency for midwives

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • GCSEs Mathematics and English Grade 9-4 (A*-C) OR equivalent Functional Skills Mathematics and English Level 2
  • Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Registered Nurse (Adult) first level status
  • First Degree at or above
  • Evidence of qualification to undertake the supervision, teaching, and assessing of students
