About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability and Supply Chain Professional to join our National Supply Chain Management department. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of our Global Sustainability Strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and measure progress of internal and external sustainability trials and activities across Aldi UK and Ireland.
  • Support the National Supply Chain Manager in delivering projects to reduce Aldi's operational environmental impact.
  • Align outbound sustainability strategy with inbound sustainability strategy.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to manage all levels of business.
  • Ensure the efficient and accurate flow of information with internal and external parties.
  • Communicate complex information in a clear and relevant way for the audience.
  • Influence multiple levels of the business to consider sustainability in their decision-making.
  • Develop knowledge of sustainability topics and suggest ways to reduce operational carbon emissions.
  • Monitor market-wide technological advances and competitor activity in relevant areas of sustainability.
  • Ensure deadlines are met and prepare paperwork to communicate the team's work and projects.
About You
  • Demonstrate understanding of sustainability and supply chain principles.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with colleagues at all levels of the business.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload, conflicting deadlines, and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Innate curiosity and a desire to improve and simplify processes.
  • Ability to multitask, work proactively, and independently, both in a team and individually.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.
  • Ability to investigate, analyse challenges, and offer solutions.
  • Flexibility and resilience across the role, due to the ever-changing landscape.
  • Able to positively influence stakeholders to gain buy-in for sustainability initiatives.
  • Experience developing and implementing business cases.

  • Salary from £36,080 - £42,135.
  • Monday - Friday 8am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working.
