About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sustainability Specialist to join our National Supply Chain Management team at Aldi UK. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of our Global Sustainability Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the National Supply Chain Manager in monitoring and measuring progress of internal and external sustainability trials and activities across Aldi UK and Ireland.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver our sustainability strategy and ensure efficient flow of information management.
  • Develop and implement business cases to reduce operational environmental impact.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainability initiatives and influence decision-making.
  • Monitor market-wide technological advances and competitor activity in the relevant areas of sustainability.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong understanding of sustainability, logistics, and supply chain management. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues at all levels of the business.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and conflicting deadlines.
  • Organisational skills with the ability to identify and manage priorities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.
  • Ability to investigate and analyse challenges and offer solutions.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of £36,080 - £42,135, Monday - Friday 8am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working. You will also receive 5 weeks' annual leave plus Bank Holidays, in-office flexi time, full training provided, and access to a range of benefits, including our bike to work scheme, shopping and cinema discounts, health cash plan, and more.
