About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sustainability and Logistics Assistant to join our team at Aldi UK. As a key member of our National Supply Chain Management department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of our Global Sustainability Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the National Supply Chain Manager in monitoring and measuring progress of internal and external sustainability trials and activities across Aldi UK and Ireland.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement opportunities for carbon reduction across the business.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of sustainability activities and progress.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless information flow.
  • Contribute to the development of business cases and proposals to support sustainability initiatives.

About You

  • You will have a strong understanding of sustainability principles and practices, with a focus on transportation emissions and logistics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • A desire to continuously learn and develop your skills and knowledge in sustainability and logistics.
