About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized National Supply Chain Projects Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our National Supply Chain Management Department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality and cost-efficient inbound supply chain solutions through operational and project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist and take responsibility for the successful delivery of projects within the National Supply Chain Management Department.
  • Support the full life cycle of complex material handling equipment projects from pre-sales through to post-implementation.
  • Manage multiple logistics projects and tasks, liaising with and managing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Process and track project action points and milestones to ensure timely completion.
  • Ensure projects meet time, budget, and quality goals.
  • Work with project teams and individuals to establish procedures, plans, and practices that promote the adoption of appropriate solutions and ensure the sustainability of desired results.
  • Identify and manage risks and issues to minimize their impact on projects.
  • Coordinate weekly programme meetings, project statuses, project plans, and programme-level business updates.
  • Use your initiative to suggest ways of improving processes for greater efficiency.
  • Ensure correspondence is treated in the strictest confidence when required.
  • Manage the efficient and accurate flow of correspondence and information, both incoming and outgoing, with internal and external parties.
  • Ensure a clear understanding of current actions, proposing or taking action where appropriate.
  • Support the delivery of the department strategy as required.
Requirements
  • GCSEs/A Levels or equivalent and/or a Graduate degree in Supply Chain/Logistics or relevant experience.
  • Professional work experience in Logistics/Supply Chain Management.
  • Material handling equipment project experience.
  • Organized, problem-solving, computer-literate, confident communicator, detail-focused, excellent time management, and change management skills.
  • Project management, stakeholder management, risk and issue management, project planning, and project delivery of large cross-functional projects.
  • Management and planning of dependencies between multiple projects to deliver a programme of change.
  • Proficient in Excel and Word.

  • Starting salary from £36,080 - £42,135.
  • Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working.
